Black Trap Wax is an odourless trap treatment designed to protect foothold traps from corrosion while providing a smooth, low-friction coating. Once applied, the wax creates a protective barrier over the steel and helps darken the trap for a more discreet finish in the field.

Waxing can also improve trap performance by reducing friction at moving contact points, allowing the jaws and levers to operate smoothly. For best results, traps should be thoroughly cleaned and prepared before waxing, and clean gloves should be worn when handling treated traps to minimise contamination with human scent.
